Purple Night Walk

  • Abbey Gardens Winchester, England, SO22 4DG United Kingdom (map)

Save the date

Our popular memory walk will return on Saturday 19 September and, this year, we’ll be celebrating five years of hospice care in Winchester.

What to expect

We’ve made a few changes this year and we’ll be starting the walk at 7.30pm at the Abbey Gardens. We invite people to register from 6.30pm and soak up the atmosphere before we head off.

We’ll complete a circular walk and will return to the Abbey Gardens where medals will be awarded.

How long is the walk?

To account for the new start and finishing venue, the walk will be slightly longer this year and will cover 7km.

How much will it cost?

Tickets will remain the same as last year at just £10 for adult and £5 for children. All dogs can complete the walk for free - we just ask that they’re kept on a lead for the duration of the event, including in the gardens and on the walk.

What do I wear?

Purple of course! We’ll have event t-shirt available for an additional price and glow accessories will be available to purchase on the night. Please come dressed however you feel comfortable but we welcome a purple theme so those you walk by know you’re supporting the hospice.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets for the Purple Night Walk will be on sale soon. Please check back soon for the link or keep an eye on our social media channels where we’ll let you know when tickets are available.

In the meantime, start gathering your friends and family and pulling together your best celebratory purple outfit for the night.

We can’t wait to see you in September!
