What we do
At Winchester Hospice, we provide specialist palliative and end of life care to adults with A life-limiting illness, who live in Winchester and surrounding villages.
Our dedicated team within Winchester Hospice works to ensure that every patient is able to live their life as fully as possible in an environment that enhances well-being and privacy.
To fully support our patients, we offer:
An inpatient unit
Community service
Psychology service
Complementary therapies
To offer this, we have a close working partnership with Hampshire Hospitals specialist palliative care service, community and hospital teams, as well as community care teams and GPs.

How we’re funded
You will never be asked to pay for any of the care you receive from Winchester Hospice. The cost of this care is all covered thanks to the NHS and your local community.
Winchester Hospice is proud to be part of Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust but a proportion of our funding also comes from charitable giving - and that proportion is increasing as the need for our care continues to grow.
If you’d like to support us and help raise vital funds to ensure we continue to be able to offer the best possible care to local people, click the button below or explore the ‘how you can support us’ tab at the top of the page.
Assisted Dying
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recognises that people have different views on assisted dying.
It is not within our role to either support or oppose a change in the law. Our aim will always be to provide outstanding care for patients and their loved ones at the end of life, in our hospitals, our hospice and in the community.
