Visions and values

Here at Winchester Hospice, we provide specialist palliative and end of life care to adults with A life-limiting illness.

At the heart of the community, the hospice provides specialist care, in the right place, and at the right time. We care about what matters most to our patients and their loved ones, seeking to meet their preferences at all times. Whether at home, or in one of our ten inpatient beds, we seek to provide outstanding care when it matters most.

Who we are

The dedicated staff and volunteers make Winchester Hospice a very special place. Our shared mission is to ensure that our local community receives equitable access to specialist support when they need it most.

Whether it is expert management of complex pain and troubling symptoms, or personal care at home at the end of life, we are here for you – 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

We are proud to be able to support the social, physical, emotional and spiritual care of each patient and their loved ones, enabling them to live as fully and as comfortably as possible.

How we’re run

Winchester Hospice is run and managed by Hampshire Hospitals. We are also supported by the Winchester Hospice Fundraising Charity who work to support and raise funds to ensure our hospice care can continue for decades to come.

Hampshire Hospital’s vision and objectives are underpinned by their ICARE values, which are embraced by Winchester Hospice. These are:

INCLUSIVE, valuing and celebrating everyone's diversity and experiences

Compassion, caring about our patients, their families, staff, supporters, and volunteers

Accountable and responsible, always improving

Respect for all

Encouraging and challenging each other to always do our best
