Cycle enthusiasts rejoice because we’ve got the challenge for you!
Join us on the cycle ride of your life as we travel through some of the most scenic parts of Italy on our 2026 Venice to Rome cycle challenge.
This epic five day challenge starts with your longest day of cycling where you’ll cover 170km in the saddle. Over the five days, you’ll ride through over 600km of the country, experiencing breath-taking views as you go.
Please note, to take part, you must be an experienced road cyclist who is used to long days in the saddle riding over various terrain. While support is provided along the route, you should be fit and well enough to complete this tough challenge before applying.

Who’s already on the team?
You’ll be joining fellow local cyclist Rob Sanderson and a group from Winchester Rugby Club who are already signed up to take on this epic adventure to raise important funds for Winchester Hospice.

In December 2023, Rob’s mum spent two days in Winchester Hospice before she died. “It was so peaceful,” he remembers. “If there’s a perfect way to come to your final days of life, that was it. Knowing where the money we raise is going is so important and if I can help just one other family have the same experience we did, it’ll all be worth it.”
