We’re looking for businesses in Winchester who are ready to venture out and turn £100 into £1,000 for Winchester Hospice

Not sure how you’re going to make a difference in your local community this year? Venture100 has the perfect opportunity to bring your team together for one goal, turning £100 into £1,000 for Winchester Hospice.


What do I get?

When you join Venture100, not only will you get the thrill of taking on a new business venture, you’ll get:

  • £100 to start your Venture100!

  • Your business logo featured on on our Venture100 webpage and on our Corporate Support webpage

  • Photo opportunity at start of your Venture100

  • At least one social media post announcing you’re taking part in Venture100 with further sharing/online engagement with your fundraising activity which may include Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn (collective following of 6.5k)

  • A quote from Winchester Hospice in any PR you wish to distribute about the challenge

  • At least one mention in Winchester Hospice newsletter

  • Collection tins and any other fundraising or promotional material

  • A tour of our hospice to see where your efforts will benefit and understand more about the work we do for the community of Winchester

  • The feeling of knowing you’re making a difference to those with life-limiting illness and their families in and around Winchester

What does it involve?

Venture100 involves you and your colleagues getting your heads together to come up with a plan to raise £1,000 for Winchester Hospice. From signing up, you have one year to execute your monumental plan and raise vital funds to support our patients and their families.

To raise funds, you could:

  • Host a sponsored walk

  • Host a bingo, quiz or dinner party

  • Run a distance and get sponsored

  • Put on a raffle or auction

Or, come up with your own master plan of how you’re going to raise those funds. From start to finish you’ll get support from our dedicated fundraisers who can provide tips and tricks to help your venture succeed.


What difference will I make?

Winchester Hospice is the only adult hospice in the city and is an incredibly special place.

It is a place of understanding, warmth and support at the most difficult time - home to a team of compassionate experts who are there in the right place, at the right time for those who need them.

It is thanks to support from people like you within our community that since opening in 2021, we have been able to care for over 700 inpatients and over 350 needing care in their own homes, as well as supporting hundreds of families, friends and loved ones.

With your help, we can develop and grow our services to be there for more families in and around Winchester whenever we are needed.

Your fundraising could:

  • Help towards running a bereavement support evening

  • Contribute towards the cost of providing complimentary therapies for our patients

  • Fund books and audio books for our patients

  • Help towards the cost of sending specialist community palliative care nurses into the homes of those who need us
