Remember someone special and Light up a Life with Winchester Hospice this Christmas. Together, we will remember and cherish the memories of those who are no longer with us.
Our Light up a Life isn’t just for families who have a connection with Winchester Hospice. It is an opportunity for anyone within our community to come together with us to honour and remember a precious life.
Make a dedication
You are invited to make a dedication to ‘light up’ the life of someone you’d like to remember. A donation alongside your dedication, though very much welcomed, is optional.
Dedications received by Monday 27 November will be included in our Light up a Life book of remembrance and will be displayed on the night. We have extended this from Monday 20 November to enable more dedications to be included on the night.
If there are multiple people you would like to remember, you can make as many dedications as needed. If you can’t attend our service at Christ Church Winchester but want to remember a loved one, you are still invited to make a special dedication.

For many of us, Christmas is a time of year where not only do we spend time with people that we love, we remember those who are no longer with us.
Light up a Life is a chance to come together with your local community and reflect, remember and honour the life of someone you love.
On the night we will sing seasonal carols, hear readings by special guests and also be able to enjoy a warming hot drink and mince pies.
If you can’t make it
If you aren’t able to come to the service but still want to be part of our Light up a Life, the whole service will be live streamed via the Christ Church YouTube channel. This will be live from 5.55pm on Monday 4 December and you can watch through the link below or by clicking here.
Your donation
Should you wish to make a donation alongside your dedication, you’ll be helping our specialist staff to care for more people who need us, support more families in Winchester and enable us to continue growing and expanding the services we deliver.
£25 could help towards running a bereavement support evening
£58 could contribute towards the cost of providing complimentary therapies for our patients
£197 could help towards the cost of sending specialist community palliative care nurses into the homes of those who need us
