Payroll Giving

One fantastic way to support the hospice with consistent donations is through payroll giving.

This is a tax free donation that doesn’t affect your pensionable pay, and as well as being tax free, we can also claim Gift Aid. Therefore, if you pay the higher tax rate of 40% and choose to make a regular donation of £50 per month, you will see a deduction of £30 from your pay each month, but with Gift Aid this will equate to a donation to the charity of £80 per month.

If you have any questions or would like to start donating to Winchester Hospice’s appeal, please contact Winchester.Hospice@hhft.nhs.uk with questions or complete this Payroll Giving Mandate and return it to your Payroll Benefits Manager.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid provides a great opportunity for you to increase the value of your donations to the Winchester Hospice Appeal.  If you are a UK tax payer, using Gift Aid means that we can reclaim the tax you have paid from HMRC, helping your donation go further.  It doesn't cost you a thing - all you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration.

You can either download a Gift Aid form here or complete an online form.

Please return your completed Gift Aid form to the following address:

Fundraising Office

Please notify the Fundraising Department should:

You stop being a UK taxpayer or do not fully understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Please notify us if you wish to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.

Please note:

If you pay Income Tax at a higher or additional rate and want to receive additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

You can cancel your declaration at any time by notifying the fundraising office either in writing or by telephone.  We will then not claim Gift Aid on any donations you make on or after the date of cancellation.

Regular Giving

A great way to give to the hospice is to regularly donate a small amount to the Hospice. To do so fill out this form and give it to your bank manager.

If you have any questions about the process or would like some help with the form email: winchester.hospice@hhft.nhs.uk
